Haily’s Winter Favorites
Winter for me is pretty simple. I want to be inside with the fire going, something warm to drink, and nowhere I need to rush off to.
Stache has a very different idea of a perfect winter day. He’ll play, sleep, eat, and do zoomies in the snow, then come inside with giant snowballs stuck to his belly. It’s my worst nightmare and his best life.
If I get a quiet afternoon, I love to sit down and watercolor.
“Just inside, cozy, have the fire going. I love to sit down and watercolor.”Haily
These are a few of the things I’m loving this winter, both for myself and for gifting.
Haily’s winter favorites at a glance
- Emily Lex Watercolor Book: what Haily is giving at her Favorite Things party this year.
- Brick + Mortar Mountain Candle: the candle for a fireside winter morning.
- Casa Bella Vida Vanilla: the best vanilla she has tested.
- J.A.K Selena Sweater: a chartreuse sweater for winter.

A few of my Winter Faves

Emily Lex Watercolor Book
Watercoloring is one of my favorite things to do on a slow winter afternoon, and this is actually what I’m giving at my Favorite Things party this year.
My favorite image in the Christmas book? Classic Santa. Keeping it original.

Brick + Mortar Mountain Candle
My favorite winter mornings usually start with the fire and a candle.
“I’ll light the fire, and then I will light the candle. I’ll get that going. And then I like to cozy up on the couch with a warm fuzzy blanket and enjoy some hot tea.”Haily
The Mountain Candle fits right into that routine.

Casa Bella Vida Vanilla
When I was asked about a gift I’ll never forget, my answer was my KitchenAid. I use it all the time and still love it every time I pull it out.
I think that’s part of what makes a good gift: something someone will genuinely use and enjoy.
The Casa Bella Vida Vanilla is one of my kitchen picks this winter. I have tested so many different kinds of vanilla, and this one is the best. It’s clear, so it won’t change the coloring of anything, and it tastes incredible.

J.A.K Selena Sweater
The J.A.K Selena Sweater made my Winter Faves list this year too. It just doesn’t get better than this chartreuse color for winter.

I’m pretty particular about what we bring into the shop.
I love finding woman-owned brands. I want to touch and feel things before bringing them in, and I’m drawn to people who clearly put a lot of thought into what they make.
“I like to touch and feel everything before bringing it in.”Haily
Owning Meraki has also changed the way I think about gifting.
Sometimes someone comes in because their friend is having a hard day and they just want a little pick-me-up. We find something, wrap it cute, add some ribbon, and send them on their way.
“Doesn’t take much to make somebody’s day.”Haily
That’s probably the best way to describe how I choose gifts too. Pay attention to the person, find something that feels like them, and don’t overcomplicate it.
More of my Winter Faves
My favorite part of Meraki will always be the people.
“There’s just something so magical about getting to know each person that comes in.”Haily
I hope you find something here that reminds you of someone you love. And if you find something for yourself too, I fully support that.
